My Mind Questions: What's about Globalization Effect on Human Development? Is there any Danger or Benefit?

There are many ways in which globalization has affected the world today. Some of these include changes of worldwide investment, management economies and technology. However, Globalization has participated to the world's advance in many good ways. The developments in science and technology have allowed to cross over boundary lines. Globalization has increasingly contributed to have access to essential information towards high quality education. Thanks to globalization, we are able to dream to transmit a man to the moon to higher technological competence.

In these days, children are more dependent on technology & they compete to use it intensely. New technology is being advanced for children as young as three. Small phones & laptops are now in the hand of children. Children spend an average of ten hours per day exposed to media. As kids go on to become more absorbed in media, many parents have started to wonder whether or not this exposure to media is good or bad.

However, statics argue that children using new technology are becoming socially isolated, and having health related issues with great risks. Nomenclature new technology as good or bad will not solve the problem. I think that we should understand the cons & the pros of technology to fully conceive the problems connected with technology use.

Technology use will affect children as they develop. It speeds & gives the key skills which children require to become more rapidly engrossed in the lessons & they are able to absorb the knowledge more rapidly. Electronic tools can be more activating for children since it provides comfort for them. Technology eases new areas through imitation & dimensional models are not found before this time. Many jobs need technological qualifications which can be provided by technology for the workforce at young age.

Technology can also help workers with disabilities to work easily, it allows them to manipulate texts to meet the needs of people. For example deaf workers can be benefited from texts by making them larger, so it can be easier to read them. Many devices have been developed & engineered through technology to serve workers with disabilities. It is also easy to use a keyboard consisted of icons to converse with other people who have communicative disabilities.

It is not surprise today to see a child operating a laptop better than adults. The world is changing today because technology has many effects on the impressionable cognition of young children. Many parents are afraid because the technology will affect their children's lives, new technology may act as a tool for young children to improve emotional bonds with rivals, as well as inscribe their own personality. Luckily, new technology is increasing visual reasoning, images & pictures are shown to us at speeds higher than in the past, we can also see videos that make us feel like we are in the real life.

Children can understand sophisticated visual images, structures and pictures that enter into their sight at an terribly fast speed. Because of these structures, children are able to react & understand what happens around them easier than the previous generation. Indeed, parents are trying to keep control of their children in this dangerous world and as well, they have been searching for more reliable ways of keeping eye on where their kids are at all times.

The cell phones may give the opportunity for parents to know where their children are moving by providing an easy way for connection. So, it is difficult to conceive that a child will be able to understand how public their information is becoming, and how threatening people can enter it. As kids universally post their emails and locations, they permit threatening people to know where they are at all times.

Today, new technology has been more than just using the laptop at work or texting your emails at home. It has become a flow of knowledge flowing into our lives through social media. New technology is decreasing the time and problems it takes to connect and achieve essential works. The social media became a constant confusion as children have become so absorbed into it. As kids' developing memories suck new technology, they are referred to divide their attention between several difficult tasks which may lead to continuous partial attention. Constantly concentrating on several works at once changes the way kids behave and think. Kids have become unable to concentrate and they experience more stress, due to large flow of information but they may be able to divide their priority between many works.

As a result, children will be more sensitive to arriving information, and they are unable to focus entirely on the tasks, kids will not be perfect for deep thinking and higher paying works. Moreover, Kids are more likely to health problems, such as obesity and development obstacles. The main cause is not only because of taking a high calorie food, but technology itself leads to an inactive lifestyle. The laptop has become a constant companion, replacing the outside activity. It is okay to allow kids to use new technology for a limited amount of time, the problems begin to rise when it becomes to be a substitution for personal connection. Anywise, kids require physical activity about four hours a day to properly develop. When kids are deprived of human touch and physical activity, they exhibit more anxiety and they may become depressed in early life.

Exposure to violent games has become a health risk in itself for many kids, their thoughts are oriented to the threat of violent games. Violent games have been connected to more aggressive manner in kids who play them. Kids are dramatically affected by them because of the more realistic violence is on the screen. The violent games use allows kids to think that the game's violence is true and acceptable. However, new technology has changed the social norms, when people interact with one another through the cell phone or Facebook, it is a different social experience than speaking with someone face to face. People are hidden behind the digital wall when they communicate with each other. Hiding behind the digital wall allows kids to develop disconnect from other people. The social media does not only cause social isolation, however, it has changed the wary children define their social relationships and friends.

Communication through electronic media allows children to feel more lonely and depressed. Hiding behind the digital wall led children to treat with situations that they wouldn’t want to face-to-face, such as ending relationships. This hiding caused that children may be more emotionally stressful. The benefit from hiding behind the digital wall is that children who are shy will be able to have a connection with anyone without worrying about lack of conversational basic skills.

Globalization is a process for many of the problems such as poverty and inequality in the world. Sustained economic growth is the key to human progress, integration of the world economy is a key to growth and beneficial to all people. International work and assistance work to build strong economies in poor countries and they are essential to the progress of poor people. Free markets, unrestricted by governments, provide more and cheaper goods and opportunities to all people.

Free markets and trade create greater rates of economic growth and wealth creation. Economic globalization, created by removing the barriers to the free trade and markets. It allows the free flow of goods and services. As a result, the free flow of capital and finance increases the economic growth, lowers consumer prices, creates more jobs and provides more chances for all people. The invisible hand of the marketplace allows the individual follow up of self interest to maximize the public goods. By earning profits, global corporations are helping all people to have better lives. Comparative investment allows countries to create some products and services better other than countries, so that nations will try to produce goods that they have a comparative advantage in. By eliminating trade barriers, the global free trade will be easier to create the wealth and opportunity. And as well, global corporations allowed to move money, jobs and technology throughout the world in order to maximize their profits.

Poverty is created by the lack of economic growth and corporate investment. As transportation costs associated with the globalization of production declined and the costs of information processing and communication have fallen dramatically in the past two decades, these developments make it possible for the firms to create and then manage a globally production system.

In addition, low cost transportation has made it economical to ship products around the world, thereby helping to create global markets.

In summary, Globalization is the process by which the world is connected through developed infrastructure and technology for the purpose of communicating and managing resources. Globalization is such a commonly used term in the last centuries. It means that the world has become integrated socially, economically and culturally through the advances of technology, transportation and communication. It is not surprise that globalization has resulted in both positive and negative effects which must be addressed accordingly. Globalization opened the trade and economy for the international players.
